Villa Gualino Convention Centre
The Villa (map), situated in the first belt of the Torino hills, inside a huge park, about a hundred metres or so from the river Po and a short distance from the city centre, is the permanent base of prestigious institutions which are active in advanced fields of scientific research and training, such as the analysis and control of complex systems, the study of innovative materials, bio-technologies, astrophysics and space sciences and the basic dynamics of the mechanisms of wealth production.
The Villa, equipped with efficient hotel and congress facilities and with the necessary technological and computer infrastructure, also offers environmental and logistical conditions that are extremely favourable for the pursuit of congress, seminar and training initiatives including those of a residential nature.
The conference centre, with a room with 154 seats, one with 99 and others with 50, 40 and 35, all equipped with the necessary systems and equipment, is housed in the Palazzina building and is a portion of the lower part of the whole building. The centre can utilise, for guests' work breaks, wide spaces both in the internal residence structures and in the huge terraces that open onto the rooms.
For conference and seminar activities, as well as technical assistance during work periods, various hospitality spaces are available, from overnight stay with self-service breakfast to a working breakfast, gala dinners, coffee breaks with aperitifs.
The hotel structure, situated in the Palazzina building, has 62 rooms, 18 single, 44 double, situated on the first and second floors, with panoramic views of the city, the hills and the Villa's park. The rooms are all equipped with fridge-bars, television sets, direct telephones and modem attachments and some are reserved for non-smokers. Breakfast, self-service catering, and internal laundry services are available for guests.
